Welcome to Relogue ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how we collect, use, and safeguard your information. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the Relogue mobile application ("App").
Summary: We collect minimal data needed to provide personalized affirmations. We do NOT collect your location, contacts, photos, health data, or financial information. No account or sign-in is required to use the App. Your data is never sold to third parties.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information
We collect minimal personal information to provide our services:
- First Name (Optional): If you choose to provide your name, it is used to personalize your affirmation experience. You can choose not to provide a name, or disable name personalization in Settings at any time. Your name is stored locally on your device. If name personalization is enabled, your first name is transmitted to our server during affirmation generation so it can be included in the AI prompt. Your name is not stored on our servers after the generation request completes.
1.2 Device Information
- Device Identifier: We generate a random, anonymous device ID to associate your affirmations and usage data with your device. This ID is stored securely in your device's Keychain and cannot be used to identify you personally.
- Platform: We collect basic device information (iOS) for compatibility purposes.
1.3 Usage and Engagement Data
We collect usage data to improve our services and track your progress:
- Listening time (total seconds listened)
- Daily streak and longest streak
- Last active date
- Total affirmations generated
- Daily goal settings
1.4 Affirmation Generation Data
When you create an affirmation, we collect and store:
- Intention: Your selected focus area (e.g., career, relationships, calm)
- Questionnaire Responses: Your answers to personalization questions
- Voice Selection: Your preferred voice for audio generation
- Generated Script: The AI-generated affirmation text
- Generation Metadata: Timestamps, cost estimates, and processing time
Why we retain generation data: Generation logs including AI prompts and generated scripts are retained for abuse prevention, content moderation, and compliance with Apple's App Store guidelines for AI-generated content. This allows us to detect and prevent misuse of the service.
1.5 Feedback Data
If you submit feedback through the App's contact form or the in-player feedback feature, we collect:
- Your feedback message
- Subject line (which may include an affirmation ID for context)
- Your anonymous device ID
- App version and platform
1.6 Notification Preferences
- If you grant notification permission, we store your preference locally on your device to send daily reminders. We do not collect or store push notification tokens on our servers.
Important: We do NOT collect sensitive personal data such as your location, contacts, photos, health data, or financial information. No account creation or sign-in is required to use the App.

3. AI-Generated Content
Relogue uses artificial intelligence to create personalized affirmation scripts. Here's what you should know:
- Your questionnaire responses and preferences are sent to our secure AI processing service (Google Cloud Vertex AI).
- If you enable name personalization, your first name is included in the AI prompt and transmitted to our server during the generation request. Your name is used only for that request and is not stored on our servers.
- Generated affirmation scripts are stored on our servers for abuse prevention and content moderation purposes, as required by Apple's App Store guidelines for AI-generated content.
- AI-generated content is created fresh for each request and is unique to your selections.
- Audio files are generated using Google Cloud Text-to-Speech and delivered to your device. Audio files are not stored on our servers.
Consent to share data with AI services: By using the affirmation generation feature, you consent to your questionnaire responses, selected intention, voice preference, and (if enabled) your first name being transmitted to third-party AI services (Google Cloud Vertex AI and Google Cloud Text-to-Speech) for the purpose of generating your personalized affirmation content. This data is processed in accordance with
Google Cloud's Privacy Notice. You can withdraw this consent at any time by choosing not to generate new affirmations.
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Local Storage (On Your Device)
- Affirmation audio files and scripts
- Your first name (if provided)
- Listening history and streak data
- App preferences and settings
- Device identifier (stored securely in iOS Keychain)
- Subscription status
4.2 Server Storage
- Generation logs (intention, questionnaire responses, AI prompts, generated scripts, voice selection, timestamps)
- Engagement statistics (listening time, streaks, last active date)
- Feedback submissions
- Anonymous device identifier and subscription status
4.3 Security Measures
- All data transmission uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
- We use device identifiers and other technical measures to secure API requests.
- Server data is stored in a secure cloud environment.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
- Access to server data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data as follows:
- Local Data: Stored on your device until you delete individual affirmations, clear app data, or uninstall the App.
- Generation Logs: Retained for as long as necessary for safety, abuse prevention, content moderation, and legal compliance. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.
- Engagement Data: Retained while you actively use the app. Automatically purged after 12 months of inactivity.
- Feedback Data: Retained for as long as necessary to address your enquiry and improve the App. You can request deletion at any time.
- Device Data: Retained while your device is active. Deleted upon request.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You have control over your data:
- Name Personalization: Toggle off "Personalise Affirmations" in Settings to prevent your name from being used in AI-generated content. Your name is only ever stored on your device.
- Data Export: You can request a copy of your data by contacting us.
- Data Deletion: You can request deletion of all your server-stored data by selecting 'Delete My Data' in-app.
- Local Data: Delete affirmations individually in the app, or uninstall the app to remove all local data.
- Notifications: You can disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings.
7. Children's Privacy
Relogue is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
8. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to provide our app:
- Google Cloud Vertex AI: For generating personalized affirmation scripts. Data is processed securely and subject to Google Cloud's Privacy Notice.
- Google Cloud Text-to-Speech: For generating audio from affirmation scripts.
- Fly.io: For hosting our backend services (data stored in EU/US regions).
- Apple App Store: For app distribution and subscription management (governed by Apple's Privacy Policy).
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States and European Union. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with applicable laws.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, through in-app notifications. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
